Mary and I had Surfside Construction install a porch enclosure on our Ridge Rd home in The Bluffs, in August 2006. The work was completed in a professional manner, on schedule, at a fair price, and with very good communication throughout the project. We were completely satisfied with the product, the installation and clean up. This addition to our home has become our favorite area of the house, especially for entertaining or relaxing as we have full view of the preserve & wildlife, regardless of the weather.

Because of our previous experience with Surfside Construction, when comtemplating the installation of impact doors & windows on our Bluffs home, we contacted Harold to discuss this potential installation and cost. In November 2006 we had Surfside Construction replace all the windows in our home, along with the kitchen sliding door, with impact windows and slider. In July 2007 we had Surfside replace the remaining sliding doors in the rear of the kitchen, the living room and the bedroom with impact sliders. Once again the work was performed professionally, on time, and with good communication. Several months later when I requested additional door stops be added, they were immediately ordered and installed at no charge. We are confident we made the right choice to install the doors and windows, and in choosing the right contractor.

We were very happy with the quality of work, not to mention your professionalism during the process.  You gave us an estimated completion date and finished well within acceptable timing.  The premises were always kept clean and tidy, considering the amount of equipment and supplies required on the job.  We chose to stay on premises while undergoing the renovation.  While it was uncomfortable at times living within a construction site, Surfside Construction and Development Corporation made the experience as tolerable as possible, always giving ample notice as to what to expect on a daily basis.  I have recommended Surfside to anyone who has asked and will continue to do so.

My wife’s health problems had progressed to the point  requiring full time home health care during the summer of 2006.  One of the requirements was the need for reasonably private accommodations for the care provider  The “Bluffs House” has a loft which can be converted to a small apartment.  In early September we contracted with Surfside to provide the necessary construction with a promised completion date of end of October.

Surfside took care of all permitting and provided plans for each step in the construction.  When appointments were made, they were kept in a timely way.  Home furnishings and access to rooms not involved in the construction were protected with plastic curtains so that dust was kept at a minimum.  A home office and library in the construction area were moved to the garage.  The job went on schedule with complete painting and floor covering finished by the end of October.  In just two months we had quality living quarters for our full time home health care provider.

Construction can be a traumatic time, but Surfside minimized the fuss.  They finished on time and provided a quality product.  We have no hesitation about recommending them for your construction needs.

Often times you hire a qualified licensed person to assist you in your personal “HOME DREAMS” and your dream becomes a nightmare. So often people do not show up on time or at all, profess to know what they are doing and do not. As you know the list goes on.
This is quite the contrary with Surfside Construction. My husband and I decided to enclose our patio for more living space and Harold was there on time for our initial meeting with lots of ideas, alternate plans and answered all our questions. Harold invited us to his home to see his similar designed patio. When we arrived we were sure this was the patio we wanted.
The construction started on time, was completed when promised and his son Tom was polite, efficient and most of all completed the job with total satisfaction.
I do believe they cleaned up the mess pretty well. (For men, that is!)
